For rain, bug and wind protection

TheSalmon-Steelhead-Trout Jacket has been fine-tuned over the years to define perfection. Lightweight, waterproof and breathable, it fends off rain, sleet and snow. Made from 3-layer, 4.4-oz. microfiber nylon with a waterproof/highly breathable H2No® Storm HB barrier and advanced Deluge DWR (durable water repellent) finish its features include high elasticized chest pockets (with handwarmer pockets behind) that hold fly boxes, an adjustable hood that cinches out rain and wind, a rain gutter/flap system that protects the front zipper and two inner, zippered chest pockets, the left one waterproofed. Y-Joint™ anatomically curved sleeves won’t raise the body when you raise your arms, StretchCoat® cuffs seal out water and a large elasticized back storage pocket secures with a hook-and-loop flap. The SST converts to a shorter length with snaps and a Houdini® drawcord hem, and has a hidden rod holder.

Protection against cold

The classic Synchilla Snap-T is a testament to current Darwinian fashion theories: The best quality survives the test of time. Debuting in 1985, the Snap-T became environmentally minded in '93, when it reinvented itself and was spun from post-consumer recycled (PCR®) plastic bottles. Today, the Snap-T is made from thick, warm 10-oz. PCR double-faced polyester fleece, with Y-Joint™ sleeves, a four-snap placket and an on-seam snap chest pocket. Quality construction exceeds market standards.

Wind protection and keeping mobile 

The Windbloc Jacket preserves your body's precious thermal envelope without bulking you out or inhibiting your ability to move freely. To prevent windborne chill, we sandwich a Polartec® Windbloc laminate between midweight R2® polyester on the surface and a lighter, moisture-wicking R1® grid on the inside. Although the Windbloc is dry and comfortable without a shell, you can easily layer it when a storm moves in. The shoulders are seamless for pack-strap comfort; the handwarmer pockets ride high so they won't interfere with a harness. To further seal out drafts, the wind flap comes up and over the collar, cushioning your neck and chin. With chest pocket, elasticized cuffs and flat-locked seams to reduce bulk.

 

Retro X
 

From mountain valleys to city alleys, X's block wind head on. The breathable/windproof P.E.F.® (performance enhancing film) barrier, sandwiched between 1/4" polyester (75% PCR®, post-consumer recycled, 25% virgin) pile and a Capilene® brushed-mesh composite lining, can handle any mph you throw at it. 

Fly fishing vest

The Reinvest pays off time and again with its organizational wizardry. It's made from a 3.7-oz., 3-ply Supplex® outer fabric that resists wind and dries quickly, and has a light color that reflects sunlight. A pleated back pocket expands to hold shell or insulation, a mesh lining allows air to circulate and lets you see pocket contents, and drainholes in pockets release water when wading deep after a spill. Padded shoulders and a padded moisture-wicking Capilene® Silkweight collar better cushion a full load; two upper loops hold sunglasses and one pocket loop holds stats; an innovative pocket design with elastic corners keeps fly boxes in place; enlarged horizontal flybox pockets (with four piggyback pockets) and a smaller pocket holds small Myran-type boxes.

Underwear

Your best footwork happens when your socks aren't balled up into soggy wads inside the toe of your shoes. Capilene Socks combine moisture-wicking efficiency with the warmth and softness of merino wool. Expedition weight warmth and performance (65% merino wool, 20% Capilene-treated PCR® polyester, 13% stretch nylon, 2%

elastic) to complement your preferred shoe/boot type, activity and weather.

Be sure when you wear a shirt that protects against mosquito's bites. 

Built for adhering to the slickest, snottiest steelhead river rocks you can imagine, the Beefy picks up where our Wading model leaves off. An abrasion-resistant, waterproof shoe for wading through rocky streams. Critical reinforcement and added support for fishing faster water and slicker streambeds. Torsionally rigid midsole steadies your feet in swift current. High cuff, gusseted Lycra®-trimmed neoprene tongue and ample padding for ankle support. Tungsten-carbide-tipped steel studs in our sole offer uncompromised traction; resolable.

SST+ Waders are tough, quick-drying and incredibly comfortable. This year we've revised our sizing, added a suspender adjustment on the back for a better upper body fit, and changed the fit of the bootie to better accommodate layers without added bulk. Quiet, supple, durable 3-layer microfiber polyester shell bonded to a waterproof/breathable HydroStorm barrier developed specifically for wading in salt and fresh water. With a nylon tricot inner and an advanced Deluge DWR (durable water repellent) finish. Built-in 3-mm neoprene booties insulate your feet; incredible fit; well-cushioned, compression-resistant Hypalon® soles. New zippered pocket inside wader top holds fly box or leaders. Unique suspension system attached at the waist allows waders to be worn either chest-high or waist-high; plus improves safety in a dunking. New snaps on suspenders and wader top secure bib in chest-high position. Anatomically curved knees and modified Y-Joint™ crotch. Built-in gravel cuffs with gripper elastic.
