Select a bunch of cock
hackle fibres. |

Run the
tying thread down the hook shank to a position just
over the hook point.

Wrap the fibres for the
tail. |

Tie in
two thin strands of golden silk floss.
|

| Wind
the strands in touching turns down to the tail and
form a nice body. Tie in two CDC feathers by the tip
(not too close to the hook eye!) |

Wind
the feathers carefully and avoid trapping any fibres.
Four or five turns will do. Secure the stem with
enough thread windings and clip off the waste.
