After years of having participated in various fishing competitions, the idea came up, to build a new big European fishing tournament. A new tournament (American style) with very big prices.

During this European tournament all predator fishes will be counted for points. Prime target fish will be the Pike. Every single game there will be decided on what predator fish to be fished on. In Norway (May 2009) the tournament will start and we fish on pike, perch and trout.

The Predator tour will be held in various European countries. Each year an other country. In May 2009 the tournament will start in Norway. In 2010 there will be fished in Ireland. In 2011 there will be fished in the Netherlands. 2012 will follow soon.

The vision of the organisation is that the tournament will consist of a minimum of 5 until 10 games. In order not to be a competitor of already existing tournaments, the Predator tour will only be held in the springtime.

Besides winning attractive prizes each game there will be also awarded points for the ranking of the "European overall winner". You can join the whole tournament but you can also participate in one single game and also win all kind of attractive prices such as a luxury Marcraft fishing boat, free fishing holidays to Canada, Spain & Norway.

 

The objectives will be:

  • Yearly tournament in the spring, in several European countries.
  • In a class of European championship, level and style.
  • Big prices. The first price will be, Marcraft fishing boat.
  • The second price is a Muskey fishing trip to Canada.
  • The third price is a fishing trip for 4 persons to Norway. (Steynsfjorden)
  • The fourth price is a fishing trip for 2 persons to Norway. (Engerdal)
  • Price number 5 is a trip to the number one Catfish place in Spain. (Caspe)
  • More prices are coming soon!!!
  • Animal friendly tournament, Catch and release only.
  • No fish will be killed or bring home for consumption.
  • Participants from many countries.

 

 

Organization:

 

About the tournament:

 

  • The first match will start in Norway, May 2009.
  • The second match will be in Ireland 2010.
  • The third game will be in the Netherlands 2011. 
  • Full week fishing on base of a match of 3 days.
  • All predator fish will count for the match.
  • You fish as a team, 2 people in one boat. 
  • In Norway 2009 there will be 3 species to fish on: Pike, Perch & Trout.
  • The length of the 3 species together will count for points. (Each centimetre is 1 point)
  • The 6 biggest Pikes, the 3 biggest Perch and 1 big Trout need to be caught to win the match.
  • All those fishes have to be caught on camera.
  • This camera you will receive on the first day that the match will start.

 

The rules of the game: 

 

  • All details and specific rules will be told on the day before the match will start.
  • It’s not aloud to fish at Steinsfjorden / Tyrifjorden in the week before.
  • Maximum of 2 rods per person during the match.

 

The price of the ticket:

 

  • The ticket for the first match (Norway 2009) will cost € 595,- per person.
  • This price includes the stay at the fishing camp for a full week.
  • This price includes also the party evening with diner for all competitors.
